The Peninsula Golf and Country Club is a private 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course located on the Delaware coast, south of Rehoboth and north of Ocean City. Currently ranked #2 in the state, the course has A1 bentgrass greens and Seaside II bentgrass tees and fairways. The course opened in 2006 and lies within the gates of an exclusive private community. This would be an ideal opportunity for a recently graduated or graduating turfgrass student who is looking for a challenging position in a great location close to the beach. Upward movement within ValleyCrest Golf Course Maintenance is possible for the right candidate. Some experience maintaining cool-season grasses is preferred. The right candidate will be a team player with a great attitude, motivated to advance in the golf course management industry and equipped with solid communication skills.
Duties:
¨ Correct application of fertilizers and pesticides
¨ Water management
¨ Staff supervision, training and scheduling
¨ Environmental initiatives
¨ Assist the superintendent with all aspects of golf course management

Annual Base Salary: $38,000-41,000
Educational Requirements:
¨ Minimum: graduating or graduated with a 2-year certificate in Turfgrass Management.
Experience Required:
¨ Some experience maintaining cool-season grasses
¨ Spanish-speaking a plus
