On December 2, 2012, Thomas K. List, CGCS retired, was inducted into the Eastern Shore Golf Hall of Fame. Mr. List was inducted by virtue of his 37 year career as a golf superintendent as well as recognized for his numerous contributions to the game on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware.
Candidates for the Hall of Fame are required to have a minimum of 25 years of involvement with golf on the Eastern Shore.
During his time as golf superintendent, Mr. List served at 3 golf clubs: Ocean Pines Golf Club, Rehoboth Beach Country Club, and Ocean City Golf Club. He supervised extensive renovations at each of these courses. Six talented assistants who worked with him moved on to become golf course superintendents.
A member of the GCSAA since 1975, Mr. List was also a founding member of the Eastern Shore Association of Golf Course Superintendents. He served the ESAGCS in various capacities, including as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. He was honored by the ESAGCS with its 2011 Distinguished Service Award.
Thomas and his wife Deborah have been married for 42 years. They have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
